The Gimli Glider – Canadian Aviation History
Join us to hear about Air Canada flight #143’s Captain Bob Pearson's first-hand account of “gliding” the Boeing 767 to an emergency landing, due to a refueling error, at the former Canadian Air Force Base in Gimli, Manitoba on July 23rd, 1983.

This program allows participants to share their insights, enjoy and discuss artworks in the National Art Gallery. Andrea Gumpert, Educator at the National Gallery of Canada will take participants on a virtual tour of the Gallery and share facts about artworks.
